Large-scale events provide a great opportunity for girls to experience adventure. They can create a chance for the entire County to come together and for different Counties or organisations to collaborate.
A large-scale event is defined by Girlguiding as any event which has 100 or more participants, ranging from one-day events to events that last for several nights.
As a Commissioner, you are responsible for giving approval for a large-scale event to go ahead, and for appointing and supporting an Event Coordinator. These guidance notes will help you with these processes.
